Dr. Hollee is a bee whisperer. She is bringing her friends, aka the bees, in a case so that we can see these hard working insects up close. She will share her passion with the June RVA Green Drinks participants.

BIPOC-ish Camping @Browntown Farms
Step away for a while to decompress & enjoy all that nature (and a dope group of folks) have to offer. Join us for a joyous camping experience at Browntown Farms (a black owned & operated century farm) in Browntown, VA (just south of Petersburg).
Learn about the history of the farm and steal away to quiet nooks to reflect and relax, or join in on yoga, stargazing, movie watching, a art activities, games, little kickball, fishing, tiki bar-ing, & telling tall tales over the campfire.
Family-friendly (but just know that we will be using the tiki-bar). No camping experience necessary. We have few tents to share (just ask). We will cover dinner (and condiments) on the first evening. You bring food and beverages for your party (plus a lil bit more) for the rest of the camping experience.
A suggested list of camping gear will be emailed to you upon registration.
Come camp with us and leave refreshed and rejuvenated. $20pp

Bees and Brushstrokes
Join me and artist/author, Dei Dei Johnson for some dynamic brushstroking at the beautiful Dandelion Springs Apiary on March 9th from 3-5pm. $15 paint & snacks provided. Bring your own 9x12 or 11x14 canvas or purchase one from us for $5. Bring a smock or something that you don’t mind getting a bit of pain on.
Literature Study Guardians of Ga'Hoole (elem)
Spring is here! Join me for an engaging series of 4 virtual classes at 10:30am beginning on Thursday, March 7th. We will focus on the book, Guardians of Ga’Hoole by Kathyrn Lasky and discuss the characters, storyline and literary devices that make this story so compelling. We will learn a lot about owls and other animals in the natural world, conduct research and have wonderful in-depth discussions. Bonus trip quite possible :)
